Runaways

Flash Musicals are casting for a brand new musical production.

 

Runaways is an original musical based on the lives of teenage runaways in Waterloo’s cardboard city. A character driven musical based on factual research, Runaways allows us to look into the lives of these characters and what drove them to such desperate measures.

 

Flash Musicals are looking for strong actors, singers and dancers to audition for both main and ensemble parts. Audition will consist of a monologue, song and a dance workshop and will take place at The Flash Musicals Youth Theatre based in Edgware, North London. Duke—Playing age—50—60—Wise old man. Lived on the streets for years. Acts as the narrator for the runaways.

 

Troy— Playing age 15-20  - Beautiful but tough boy. Looks after the rest of the runaways.

 

Carla—Playing age 15– 20—Very attractive, a dancer. She is very sensible and grown up for her years.

 

Nathan—Playing age 12-16—Studious looking boy. Very nervous and alone

 

Danielle—Playing age 14-18—Gorgeous looking girl. Well spoken but a bit of a Paris Hilton wanna-be!

 

Rox—Playing age 15-18—Tough girl. A nasty piece of work.

 

Rocco—Playing age 20—30—Local pimp, good looking and charismatic but with a nasty side to him.

 

Ellie—Playing age 13-17 — Black girl, very pretty. Strong character no one pushes her around.

 

Leroy—Playing age 14—19—Black boy, born optimist. Must be a strong dancer

 

Sammi—Playing age 15—19—Good looking boy but very feminine.

 

Craig—Playing age 15—20—Ordinary looking boy comes to Cardboard city to look for Carla.

 

Jodie—Playing age 14—19—slim redhead, very feisty. She is not afraid to stand up for herself.

 

Flame—Playing age 15—20—Black girl, big, bold and beautiful. Very strong character

 

Floyd  - Playing age—25—35—Good looking smooth talker!

 

Tilly—Playing age—45– 55—Tired looking woman that has lived on the streets for many years. It is obvious that she was once very beautiful.
